The Village of Angola is seeking a qualified individual to serve as Code Enforcement Officer.
The Code Enforcement Officer is responsible for administering and enforcing the Village Code, applicable New York State building and property maintenance codes, and related regulations. Duties include reviewing permits and applications, conducting property inspections, investigating complaints, issuing notices and violations, maintaining records, and working with property owners, contractors, Village officials, and other agencies.
Qualifications:

Experience in code enforcement, building inspection, construction, or a related field preferred.

Knowledge of New York State Building and Property Maintenance Codes preferred.

Ability to conduct inspections, maintain accurate records, and communicate effectively with the public.

New York State Code Enforcement certification, or the ability to obtain required certification, preferred.
This position requires professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and with the Village Board and other municipal departments.
Salary: $16,800 per year. Part Time- Average 15 hours per week
